With a parent company that specialises in asbestos removal, it’s unsurprising that ARG Contracts has an exceptional record for health and safety.
Our Compliance Manager Vicky is rightly proud of having developed SHEQ processes that mean that, for 8 years running, our assessments and recertifications for ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 have been obtained with no findings, no non-conformances and no changes.
Our commitment was recognised by the British Safety Council in 2019. We were very proud to achieve a British Safety Council 5-Star award and subsequently a Sword of Honour in 2019 for our commitment to safety and health. This award recognizes our investment in our people and the promotion of positive safe working practices
Rigorous commitment drives quality
Being held accountable by external bodies like Gas Safe brings structure, but in reality our internal commitment to ensuring that we are protecting all the site workforce, the future building users and our clients’ reputations is what drives our extremely high standards.
Right from the outset, new joiners have clear processes to follow both in the office and on site. From answering the phone to undertaking Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) inspection and testing, there is an ARG Contracts process to ensure the best experience and the highest quality work.
Worker wellbeing a priority
The mental health and wellbeing of our team is vital. Since 2018, we have been associated with Mates in Mind and have two Mental Health First Aiders in the business.
The Management team also has received training in identifying any issues, and we hold regular Toolbox Talks to ensure that we are taking every step to encourage healthy minds.
Ensuring our clients can be confident of high-quality work relies on a workforce that is well-supported in terms of its skillset as well as its mindset.
